Matt Bacon Born in Kitwe, Zambia, Matt received his first guitar aged thirteen and has been strumming away ever since. After some years playing electric jazz, he was inspired by manouche gypsy and Spanish flamenco music to swap to acoustic guitar and a more ‘European’ approach. Joining She’koyokh in 2002 led to a keen interest in Jewish and Eastern European musical styles and travels through Poland, Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey. Picking up a few tunes and a couple of musical instruments along the way, Matt intends to keep traditional music fresh and energetic, since he loves to play for listening or dancing… Back
