Frazer is a percussionist
specialising in Balkan, Macedonian and Near
Eastern rhythms. He has travelled extensively
around the Balkans and was awarded the Churchill
Grant to study gaida and tapan traditions. His
performing experience has ranged from jazz bands
on cruise ships to punk and new wave groups,
folk ensembles (such as Yash Bash and Mukka)
to playing bagpipes with Innerleithan pipe band.
Frazer recently applied his jazz experience
to the Solomon Sisters’ show at the Edinburgh
Fringe and is due to appear at the next Celtic
Connections in Glasgow.
